Founded in 1910 and 1925 respectively, the Culver Legion and Culver Summer Schools Alumni Association were organized "to promote the general welfare of Culver Military Academy, Culver Girls Academy, and Culver Summer Schools.” In the 21st Century, the Legion and CSSAA, with 20,000 members, is reaching the potential Leigh Gignilliat, Culver’s 4th Superintendent, charged them with upon their creation, “to become a powerful influence . . . active, united, with wholehearted cooperation . . . and to constitute one of the most influential alumni bodies . . . in the world.”
